Your iPhone
as a wireless trackpad
Control your Mac from across the room. Your iPhone becomes a fast, private trackpad and keyboard. Gestures, typing, and shortcuts, right in your hand.
Multi-touch trackpad
One finger for the pointer, two to scroll and pinch-to-zoom, three for Mission Control and switching Spaces. The real macOS gestures, exactly as you know them.
Full Magic Keyboard
Hold-to-use modifiers, smooth key repeat, and a function row that matches your Mac: brightness, media, mute, and volume. Or use the iOS keyboard with a Cmd / Opt / Ctrl / Shift bar.
Authenticated by design
Every connection is encrypted, and your Mac only takes commands from iPhones you've personally approved. Your input goes straight from iPhone to Mac, never through the cloud.
How it works
Three steps, about a minute the first time.
Install on Mac
Download the notarized .dmg, drag it to Applications, and grant Accessibility permission in System Settings.
Pair your iPhone
Open Airothy on iPhone, then scan the QR code or enter the 6-digit code shown on the Mac. Pair once and you stay paired.
Control your Mac
Gestures on the trackpad surface, typing on the full-screen Magic Keyboard. Lock your iPhone when you're done and the session ends on its own.
Privacy and security
- Local network only. The iPhone and Mac talk peer-to-peer over Bonjour and TCP. Nothing transits the public internet.
- No accounts. No sign-up, no login. What you type and tap never leaves your own network, and the iOS app shares only anonymous usage statistics.
- Signed and notarized. The macOS app is Developer ID–signed, notarized by Apple, and only updates itself with verified release signatures.
- One controller at a time. Your Mac never takes commands from more than one paired iPhone at once, and a takeover needs your approval on the Mac.
